I wasn’t always healthy—and that’s why I get it

For years, I tried to take care of myself—but I couldn’t stay consistent.
I’d start working out… then stop.

My diet? Let’s just say it wasn’t healthy. I ate what was convenient: frozen pizza, chicken tenders, takeout. Even our “healthier meals” like baked chicken or salmon were more about routine than nourishment.

As a doctor, I knew better—but I still struggled. And eventually, my health started spiraling out of control.

Everything changed in 2019

I discovered Lifestyle Medicine—and it opened my eyes

In November 2019, I attended the Nutrition as Medicine conference in Virginia Beach—and it shook me.

Study after study showed that a whole food, plant-based diet can reverse chronic diseases.

I was stunned.

Why didn’t I learn this in medical school?

This knowledge has been around for centuries, but it wasn’t included in our standard training. I felt cheated—but I also felt empowered. I made the choice to change everything.

The results? Life-changing.

A new body. A new mindset. A new way to live.

Even as a physician, I developed health challenges. But when I changed my lifestyle, everything shifted.
